Google Starts showing Tweets in Search

Google and Twitter are announced their partnership. Now tweets are display in Google search result. Results are showing in Google apps, Mobile browsers. This update is roll out in English language. Update is rollout first in US, and then gradually it will appear in other countries also. Renewing a tie up that was end in 2011.

This tie up helps to both. Google get the real time search result at improved level. Twitter’s tweet will get the more traffic. That helps to Twitter for improvement of its presence.

“We’re excited to team up with Google to bring Twitter’s unique, real-time content to Google’s search results,” said Twitter vice president Jana Messerschmidt,

Google Product Manager Ardan Arac said

“And it’s another way for organisations and people on Twitter to reach a global audience at the most relevant moments.”

When a user search on Google App or any mobile device, then he/she will get the result with included tweets also.

Google explains that the new feature works. If a users search for Taylor Swift or news about the #MadMenFinale, users can have access to Taylor’s tweets and the hashtag directly from Google.

Tweets are not directly from the first account, Tweets may be from any other person’s account. For example if we search for Fifa world cup then it is not sure that the tweets in search result from Fifa world cup twitter account. Tweets may be from a person account or any other account.

Twitter will get the high traffic from search. Tweets are more visible. Twitter presence is improved.

For Google it helps for Twitter real-time content into the Google search.
